Executive Master in Strategic Finance and Business Leadership

Course Information

Introduction

This five-day course teaches practical methods to design, measure, and improve operational processes. You will learn how to map workflows, find bottlenecks, and reduce waste. Sessions combine tools, templates, and case exercises drawn from manufacturing and service operations. The course shows how better processes lower lead time, reduce cost, and improve reliability.

Objectives

1. Map end-to-end processes using standard notation (SIPOC, swimlanes) and identify handoffs and failure points.
2. Measure process performance with relevant metrics and use flow analysis to locate bottlenecks.
3. Apply lean and basic Six Sigma techniques to remove waste and reduce variation in a defined process.
4. Size capacity, balance workloads, and create simple resource plans to meet demand and cut lead times.
5. Establish process governance: define RACI, set KPIs, create control plans, and plan practical change steps.

Who Should Attend?

1. Operations managers responsible for day-to-day process performance.
2. Continuous improvement or Lean coordinators leading improvement projects.
3. Production supervisors or plant managers overseeing workflow and staffing.
4. Service delivery managers responsible for customer-facing processes.
5. Business or process analysts designing or documenting operational workflows.

Training Method

• Pre-assessment
• Live group instruction
• Use of real-world examples, case studies and exercises
• Interactive participation and discussion
• Power point presentation, LCD and flip chart
• Group activities and tests
• Post-assessment
If Applicable:
• Each participant receives a 7” Tablet containing a copy of the presentation, slides and handouts
